The solar eclipse made me heave sobs out behind the house where nobody could see me. It was unexpected and I couldn't figure out the reason - it wasn't happiness or sadness - just an overwhelming wave of emotion that began the minute the moon started to cover the sun. It wasn’t something I could articulate, it was just something happening. And everyone everywhere watching it happen together.
